JANAKPURDHAM, Dec 29: Sanjeev Kumar Jha, the principal of Shree Laxmi Chandi Murarka Secondary School in Jaleshwar Municipality-2, Mahottari, has been accused of sexually abusing a 7th-grade student. In protest of the alleged incident, students have staged demonstrations since Sunday morning.
The protesters, including parents, gathered in front of the District Administration Office, blocking roads by burning tires and demanding immediate action against the accused principal. The situation in the area became tense as students raised slogans and pressed for justice.
Three arrested for sexually abusing Raute women
Santulal Prasad Jaiswar, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Mahottari District Police Office, confirmed that the protestors are seeking strict legal action against Principal Jha. They have also claimed that the principal has faced similar accusations in the past.
The district administration has initiated an investigation into the matter, acknowledging the seriousness of the allegations. Authorities have assured that strict legal action will be taken if Jha is found guilty.
