Terming the Chand-led party an "armed outfit", the prime minister said that the government banned the activities of the party as it intensified violent activities and extortion across the country.

"The Chand-led unauthorized group has been terrorizing businessmen, people's representatives and entrepreneurs in multiple ways including detonating bombs and extortion. This is not acceptable. Why a section of people are making hue and cry over the government's decision to ban the activities of the Chand-led group?" Oli questioned.

Oli said that nobody has the right to run extortion drive and other terrorist activities by going against the existing Constitution.

The prime minister also said that the Chand-led group refused to hold dialogue with the government committee. "The government is ready to address all demands of any groups in line with the constitution,"  Oli said.
