KATHMANDU, April 6: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has extended his greetings on the occasion of Ram Nawami and the Chaite Dashain festival today.
Taking to his social media account, Prime Minister Oli has said that our ancient scripture, the Ramayana, considers Lord Ram, who was born in the Treta Yuga, to be an ideal character of peace, justice, religion, morality, order, good governance, and dutifulness.

“In ancient civilizations, countries with good governance were called Ram Rajya. Since Ram walked the path of dignity rather than popularity, he is considered an ideal human being with supreme dignity,” Oli has said in the post.
The Ram Nawami festival, observed every year on the ninth day of the first full moon of Chaitra in the lunar calendar, is being celebrated today by worshipping Lord Shri Ramchandra.
