KATHMANDU, Aug 21: The price of gold in the local market has reached an all-time high. After decreasing by Rs 100 per tola yesterday, the price of gold increased on Wednesday, reaching its highest point ever.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Associations, the price of fine gold increased by Rs 800 per tola on Wednesday, reaching Rs 153,000 per tola. This is the highest price recorded so far.

Earlier, on August 18, the price of gold had reached an all-time high. On that day, the price of fine gold had increased by Rs 3,000 per tola, reaching Rs 152,600 per tola.
On the previous day, the price of fine gold was traded at Rs 152,200 per tola.
Similarly, the price of silver has also decreased. The price of silver has decreased by Rs 15 per tola and is currently being traded at Rs 1,835 per tola.
