Prez summons federal parliament session on December 14

KATHMANDU, Dec 2: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has summoned the meetings of the federal parliament on December 14.

The President summoned the meetings of the House of Representatives (HoR) and National Assembly at 2 PM on December 14 at the recommendation of the cabinet on Thursday. 

Earlier on October 29, the government had prorogued the House session amid continuing protests of the lawmakers belonging to the main opposition party, CPN-UML. A number of bills including the endorsement of MCC Compact Agreement through parliament are put on hold after the government abruptly decided to prorogue the house session.
