According to the Spokesperson for the Office of the President, Shailaja Regmi Bhattarai, President Paudel issued the ordinance on Sunday according to the recommendation of the Cabinet of Ministers in accordance with clause (1) of Article 114 of the Constitution.
The cabinet meeting held last Tuesday decided to bring an ordinance on cooperatives and recommended it to the President. The meeting had decided to bring an ordinance to solve problems related to cooperatives.
