"The communist power is gaining ground in the country taking advantage of the groupism and stark factional politics in the Nepali Congress party," President said during a program organized on the 13th day morning ceremony of former Mahasamiti member Tej Prasad Upreti at Dhunibensi in Dhading district today.

Saying that the communists are hell-bent on doing away with the democracy and push the country into the perpetual darkness of despotic regime, Deuba urged all the party rank and file to get united against the communist rule.
"The unification is a must from local to the central to fight against the communist rule to save democracy as it is steering the country toward wrong direction, added Deuba.
