Prez Bhandari inaugurates yoga camp in Birgunj

BIRGUNJ, Nov 24: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said that yoga was indispensable in human life as it makes human life healthy.

Inaugurating the Yoga Camp-2073 organized at Birgunj-based Adarshanagar Stadium from today, President Bhandari said that practice of yoga develops consciousness in human body.

Recalling that the United Nations has been observing National Yoga Day respecting the importance of yoga, she said that yoga based on Ayurveda therapy makes human life healthy.

President Bhandari also wished that the yoga camp would give a healthy and peaceful Birgunj, saying yoga education makes life healthier.

Similarly, Founder Chairman of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), Upendra Mahato, said that all Nepalis should think how to make the country prosperous as we all want to be the citizen of a prosperous country.

On the occasion, Yoga guru Ramdev honoured President Bhandari by offering a shawl. Acharya Balkrishna, Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Ranjit Rae, Russian Ambassador to Nepal, Andrey Sergeevich Budnik and ministers, among others are present on the occasion.

The yoga camp was inaugurated at 5:23 am where more than 5,000 people are participating.
