KATHMANDU, August 15: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that there is no need to express anger over the President’s act of sending the Citizenship Bill back to parliament for reconsideration. He said that it is up to parliament to accept the message given by the President or to send the bill again as it is.

He said that the President's message on returning the bill will be discussed with the parties and the members of the ruling coalition. He argued that the President’s move should not be called unconstitutional.

President Bhandari sent the Citizenship Bill back to the House of Representatives for reconsideration with a 15-point message on Sunday.
