KATHMANDU, Jan 15: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has expressed grief over the Yeti Airlines plane crash in Pokhara earlier this morning.

An ATR-72 aircraft of Yeti Airlines, which flew from Kathmandu to Pokhara at 10:33 this morning, met with an accident just before landing in Pokhara. Through social media, President Bhandari has written, “I am shocked by the news that the ATR-72 plane of Yeti Airlines has crashed in Pokhara. Expressing my deepest condolences to the passengers and crew members who lost their lives in the accident, I express my deepest condolences to the bereaved families.”


The plane was carrying 68 passengers and four crew members. The plane crashed before landing at the Pokhara Regional International Airport.
