KATHMANDU, Oct 11: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has been discharged from hospital today after medical treatment. The head-of-state was admitted to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) on Saturday for COVID-19 infection.
She was discharged at 12:45 PM after improvement in her health, said the hospital's Information Officer Ram Bikram Adhikari, adding that fever and other health indicators of the president are normal.

President Bhandari was admitted to TUTH Annex Ward No 601 on October 8 after she developed a cough and cold, and fever. A PCR test confirmed that the president had caught the coronavirus infection. A team of doctors led by Dr Niraj Bom was involved in the president's treatment.
