KATHMANDU, Nov 2: The Nepali pair of Prerana Koirala and Saloni Tamang has won the girls’ doubles title in the ongoing Kesha Group ANLTA Nepal Asian 14 and Under Tennis Championship Circuit One on Wednesday.
Prerana and Saloni registered straight sets win of 6-1, 6-1 over another Nepali pair of Isha Shree Shah and Sharvani Shrestha in the summit clash played at Satdobato Tennis Court, Lalitpur.
Saloni, Prerana into final
However in the boys’ doubles final, Nepali pair of Aadit Subedi and Aaditya Subedi suffered 6-2, 6-1 defeat to an Indian pair of Garv Bahl and Rusikesh Sunkara.
Despite losing the boys’ doubles final, Aadit will however get another opportunity to fight for the trophy as he has set summit clash date against Indian opponent Garv Bahl in boys’ singles section.
Boys’ Singles
In the semifinal clash of the singles category, Aadit registered 6-4, 6-4 win over Indian opponent Rusikesh while other finalist Garv Bahl beat Nepal’s Aryan Giri 6-1, 6-2.
Girls’ Singles
The girls’ doubles winner Prerana will have another chance to add titles as she has reached the singles’ final defeating Indian opponent Riya Matharoo 6-1, 6-3. Prerana will battle against Rayana Shah who recorded 6-2, 6-2 victory over Saloni Tamang.
