KATHMANDU, Oct 19: The police have prepared to extend the judicial custody of Nepal’s suspended national cricket team captain Sandeep Lamichhane for a third time. Lamichhane ois currently in police custody on the charge of rape.
The police are going to present Lamichhane in the court today with the demand to extend his remand for further investigation.
The five-day permission obtained from the Kathmandu District Court to detain Sandeep for the second time expired on Tuesday.
Lamichhane was taken into custody from the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on October 6. He was taken to Gaushala Police Station after a minor girl filed a complaint against him, accusing him of raping her.
