KATHMANDU, Dec 30: Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) on Tuesday said that the government agencies are all prepared to host a grand inaugural ceremony of Visit Nepal Year 2020 on Thursday.

In a press release, the ministry said that the necessary preparation to observe the opening ceremony of the Visit Nepal Year 2020 has been completed.

Meanwhile, Minister for Tourism Yogesh Bhattarai urged one and all to celebrate the opening ceremony of the much-awaited Visit Nepal Year 2020 in a grand manner.

"Visit Nepal 2020 aims to spread positive developments taking place in Nepal to ensure peace, prosperity, sustainability and good governance," he said.

Bhattarai said that Visit Nepal 2020 will be instrumental in the promotion of country's tourism and investment opportunity. "It will also help enhancing Nepal's image at the international arena," he said.

The government is organizing a grand opening ceremony of the Visit Nepal Year 2020 at Dasrath Stadium in Kathmandu on January 1, 2020. President Bidya Devi Bhandari is scheduled to inaugurate the event. On the occasion, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will be delivering a special address.
