KATHMANDU, Dec 22: A Central Working Committee meeting of a faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) led by Chairman and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has named the party leader and the Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali the new spokesperson of the party.

Gyawali, who also served as the spokesperson for the government, has been appointed by the Oli-led faction to the post so as to replace party spokesperson and a Secretariat member Narayan Kaji Shrestha.
Oli on Tuesday announced a 1,199-member committee to organize the party's general convention.
