KATHMANDU, July 29: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that power is temporary but truth is permanent and unbeatable.
Talking to members of a delegation led by Chair of Global Hindu Federation Pradip Kumar Cruzeja at his official residence in Baluwatar on Monday, he said ancient civilization and native culture carried a positive side and glorious past while discussing Vedic civilization and traditions, according to the Prime Minister's Secretariat.
"Our ancestors were researchers and inventors, they examined leaves and roots of every plant and develop medicines, the Ayurveda," he said. Prime Minister Oli also said our Puranas prove that the philosophies of the world originated here, and our ancestors had made a comprehensive study about the universe and earth, as well as about astronomy.
"We should not copy blindly in the name of Hinduism, as our ancestors have shown to us that we should believe in anything only after it is tested and verified," he said. Though the westerners talk about verifying through laboratories now, our ancestors had talked about testing and verification very long time back. He, however, said that time had come to prove through our deeds that we had a glorious tradition in the past.
