Police wins gold in women's team TT

KATHMANDU, July 21: Nepal Police Club won gold in women's team event on the opening day of the National Open Table Tennis Tournament that kicked off on Tuesday at Lainchaur Table Tennis Training Centre in Kathmandu.

Police beat APF Club 3-1 in the final. Kathmandu Sports Development Committee and Melamchi Community English School jointly finished third. Meanwhile, Police and Tribhuvan Army Club entered the finals of the men's team event.

Police beat APF and Army recorded win over Lalitpur in equal set of 3-0 in the semifinals. The tournament is being organized to raise funds for table tennis players affected by devastating earthquake.
