Police spreading awareness against cyber crime in schools

BAITADI, Jan 4: The District Police Office, Baitadi has started a campaign to check cyber crime that is increasing lately. 

In this connection, the police have been running classes for students at 24 secondary schools in the district. 
Police Inspector Gindra Bogati said they have been holding classes at schools on cyber crime as part of the ‘Police-Community Partnership Programme.’ 

As per the programme, police have also been conducting public awareness classes on various topics. It is said this programme would be conducted at all the schools in the district. 

According to police, this programme has been conducted in schools as the students are a good medium for information dissemination at many places. The classes are held on what cyber crime is and its impact, secured use of social sites and on the negative influence of narcotic drugs.
