BAGLUNG, Sept 12: Two teenage girls of Kathekhola Rural Municipality-7 in Baglung have been found 14 days after they went missing. The missing girls were rescued from Kakadbhita and Chitwan and they were handed over to their respective families.


Bijay Yadav, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Baglung, said that Sandhya Kisan, studying in Grade IX and Amrita Kisan, studying in Grade X in Resha Nunthala Secondary School, Resha, Baglung, had gone missing since the morning of August 29. Police were actively conducting a search operation to find their whereabouts by sending their photos and details across Nepal and deploying additional police personnel to locate them.

The principal of the school, Om Bahadur Thapa, said that Amrita, who was reported missing, was rescued by her relatives in Jhapa while being taken towards India. Police handed over Amrita to her family. Similarly, police rescued Sandhya from a hotel in Chitwan and was safely handed over to her family.
