KATHMANDU, May 10: Police are preparing to present former home minister Bal Krishna Khand who was arrested earlier this morning for his alleged involvement in the fake Bhutanese refugee scam, before the court today.
Khand, who was arrested from his residence on Wednesday morning, has now been taken to the Kathmandu Police Complex. The police issued an urgent arrest warrant and arrested Khand on Wednesday morning. Police said that they are now preparing to produce him before the Kathmandu District Court to complete the rest of the court process.
His personal secretary Narendra KC was also arrested today. He has been arrested on the charge of his involvement in the racket sending Nepali nationals to the USA in the guise of Bhutanese refugees.
