KATHMANDU: A Nepal Police inspector has been arrested on drug charges.
The Narcotics Control Bureau of Nepal Police arrested Rudra Bahadur Shahi, inspector at Metropolitan Police Range, Lalitipur, on drug charges on Thursday morning.
According to DSP Santosh Tamang of Lalitpur Police, the Narcotics Bureau arrested Shahi this morning for interrogation on the charges against him.
Inspector Shahi has been accused of smuggling 650 bottles of Corex, a banned cough syrup.
