KATHMANDU, Oct 2: The Nepal Police Headquarters, Naxal, has issued a circular not to grant leave to police commanders during Dashain.


On Wednesday, the circular was issued to various police agencies asking them not to grant leave except for essential work.

Dan Bahadur Karki, spokesperson and Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), said that the circular had been issued, asking commanders not to take leave during Dashain this time as the police have to be deployed for disaster reduction and rescue operations in the country.


Police officers holding command in various districts have not been granted leave. Meanwhile, on the day of tika and onwards, arrangements have been made for the officers to take leave on alternate days.
