RATNANAGAR (Chitwan), April 27: Police has confiscated and destroyed a large quantity of home-brewed liquor including the ingredients from different places of the Chitwan district over a period of 10 days.
A total 23 thousand 550 litres of liquor has been destroyed by the police as part of its campaign of cracking down on illegal production of alcohol in the district. The campaign was started on April 17.
The police has launched the illegal alcohol control drive in its bid to discourage criminal activities with the local level election drawing closer. Ten police squads have been mobilized for this purpose, the District Police Office, Chitwan stated. RSS
