Police collecting info of missing in Singati landslide

DOLAKHA, May 18: A police team has been deployed at northern villages of the district to collect information on people buried in landslide in Singati area.

Scores of people from Chilankha among others were buried in the mudslide triggered by Tuesday’s aftershock while they were returning from Singati after collecting relief materials.

Rescue operation has been hit-hard due to bad weather.  

Chief at Janakpur Zonal Police Office Suresh Bikram Sha informed that the team was mobilized to find the number of villagers buried by the landslide.

“The team will collect details of those still out of contact,” he said.

The team will reach Chilankha, Aalampu, Khopachangu, Kalinchowk, Bigu and Laduk and collect information.
