Police change chair of committee to probe 14-kg yellow metal case

KATHMANDU, July 30: The Metropolitan Police Office (MPO), Ranipokhari, has changed the chairman of the committee formed to probe the 14-kg yellow metal seized by the Metropolitan Police Circle, Durbarmarg.

KATHMANDU, July 30: The Metropolitan Police Office (MPO), Ranipokhari, has changed the chairman of the committee formed to probe the 14-kg yellow metal seized by the Metropolitan Police Circle, Durbarmarg.


According to the MPO, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Susheel Yadav will lead the committee replacing SSP Deepak Thapa.

"Earlier, Kiran Bajracharya was also in the committee. As she is in another committee to probe the recent acid attack incident, Yadav replaces her. Yadav is senior to SSP Deepak Thapa, so he will lead the committee," according to an official at Metropolitan Police Crime Division.


The committee is probing the 14-kg yellow metal incident in suspicion that there has been involvement of police in the case.
