DHANGADI, June 4: Police arrested two, including Kalu Rana, 23, the mastermind behind Rs 950,000 rupees loot from Gongabu, Kathmandu today, SSP Dhiraj Pratap Singh said.

Kallu alias Kalu Rana, of Krishnapur-9 Kanchapur and Ram Prabesh Rana, 28, of Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city had shot a staffer of Global IME Bank, Nirmal Karki at Chauraha of Dhangadi sub metropolitan-2 on May 27 and fled with the amount.

On May 27, Nirmal Karki was carrying the amount from Siddhartha Bank to Global IME’s office where he worked when two masked men shot him and fled the scene with money.

Rana was involved in various crimes, including rape due to which he served six years in prison.
