KATHMANDU, Feb 16: Police on Tuesday arrested Binaya Jung Basnet, the person accused of harassing Sapana Roka Magar from Gongabu in Kathmandu.
According to SSP Ashok Singh, Basnet was arrested from Gongabu this afternoon.
Sapana had filed a complaint of harassment against Basnet on Sunday.
Sapana Rokka Magar was recognized as one of the 100 most inspiring and influential women of 2020 by the BBC for her brave act of cremating unclaimed bodies.
Both Basnet and Magar were involved as a ‘family’ in cremating unclaimed bodies in the capital.
In a video interview recently, Basnet threatened to expose ‘vulgar pictures’ of Magar.
