KATHMANDU, Dec 4: A rape and murder accused, who escaped from the Doti District Hospital, has been arrested on Friday morning, said police.
According to police, accused murderer Rajendra Bohora was arrested from Purbi Chauki Rural Municipality of Doti district early morning. “Bohora broke the window, and escaped from the isolation ward of the hospital on Thursday night,” Superintendent of Police Janak Pandey, who is the chief of Doti Police, told Republica.
Bohora is accused of raping and murdering 12-year-old Samjhana Kami in Bajhang district.
Bohora was kept in a juvenile for investigation into the allegations against him. After Bohora tested positive for COVID-19 some 10 days ago, he was kept in isolation at the Doti District Hospital.
Meanwhile, Bohora has already confessed to the crime. During the police interrogation, Bohora had said that he killed Samjhana using a trident and a hammer.
