KATHMANDU, April 19: Police arrested 14 members of the Kamal Thapa-led Rashtriya Prajatantra Party in the capital on Friday.


The RPP cadres were arrested when the police intervened during their demonstration from Ratnapark area Friday afternoon, according to RPP Spokesperson Mohan Shrestha.

The RPP cadres burnt the flags in their hands reading slogans as "Secularism". 


The agitating RPP has been holding series of protest programs in various parts of the country demanding the reinstatement of Hindu state.


Addressing the demonstration, RPP Chairman Thapa said that his party will continue protests untill his party’s demands are not met.
