KATHMANDU, Aug 28: The Prime Minister’s Secretariat has urged the public to exercise caution while making financial contributions to support victims of the Bhotekoshi floods in Rasuwa.
The Secretariat said it had received information that some individuals, groups and organizations were collecting donations through unauthorized QR codes and personal bank accounts by claiming the funds were for flood victims.
It urged donors to make contributions only through the official QR codes and bank accounts made public by the government.
The Secretariat said the measure was aimed at ensuring transparency and proper management of donations while protecting the public from potential financial fraud during the disaster.
