PM’s condition stable and improving: Hospital

KATHMANDU, Oct 29: The medical team attending Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has informed that his health condition is stable. Issuing a press release on Monday evening, Maharajgunj based Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Center of TU Teaching Hospital, his condition is improving steadily.

The medical team led by Dr Arun Sayami and including Dr Dibya Singh Shah and Dr Santa Kumar Das are attending PM Oli.

Doctors said that test reports showed that PM had chest infection and imbalanced blood sugar level. Earlier, PM Oli was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit on Monday morning at 4 AM after suffering from chest infection. He is likely to be kept in observation at the hospital for few days, according to Prof. Dr. Uttam Shrestha, the center’s Executive Director.

On Saturday, PM Oli had missed a tea party organized by his party because he didn’t feel well. Doctors had advised him to rest for a few days and avoid dust and pollution. In turn, PM Oli took rest. Yesterday, he had joined the meeting of cabinet of ministers at the Prime Minister’s residence, Baluwatar.
