KATHMANDU, July 4: Leader of the main opposition party Nepali Congress(NC) and lawmaker Rangamati Shahi has vented her anger on Prime Minister KP Sharma making a reference to his ridiculous statement that Kathmandu folks no longer need to wear masks to prevent themselves from breathing in dust particles.

Speaking at the meeting of Parliamentary Committee on Development and Technology held in the capital, NC lawmaker Shahi urged Oli to travel by a scooter along roads in Kathmandu to know if there still exists a situation in which we must prevent ourselves from breathing in dust particles by wearing masks.

“I live in Banasthali. I travel by a scooter. If he travels by a scooter, he will know whether it is necessary to wear masks while travelling in Kathmandu”, said Shahi.

Speaking at a program organized in the capital few days back, Oli had claimed that days have gone by when it is necessary to protect ourselves from the detrimental effect of specks of dust we breathe in.

People had strongly reacted to the statement made by PM Oli by making negative comments on it.
