PM Oli to address nation at 4PM today

KATHMANDU, May 28: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is addressing the nation at 4 PM on Friday. 

According to PM Oli’s secretariat, he will address the nation from his Singha Durbar-based office. 

Oli is making a public address at a time when more than two dozen writ petitions have been filed at the Supreme Court against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR). 

The lower house of parliament was dissolved by President Bidya Devi Bhandari on May 22 at the recommendation of the Council of Ministers as a new government ‘could not be formed’ in accordance with Article 75 (5) of the Constitution of Nepal.
