KATHMANDU, March 17: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Sunday ruled out the possibility of reshuffle in the Council of Ministers immediately.

Talking to reporters in Biratnagar earlier today, Oli made it clear that the Cabinet is not going to be reshuffled soon.

The prime minister said that he will only appoint the new tourism minister, which has been lying vacant since the demise of Tourism Minister Rabindra Adhikari in Taplejung chopper crash on February 27.

Earlier last week, NCP Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal said that he was holding negotiations with PM Oli to reshuffle the cabinet. On March 12, Oli held a meeting with NCP Chairman Dahal to discuss the reshuffle. Sources said the two leaders discussed possible replacements for outgoing ministers.

“The prime minister had sought my suggestion for cabinet reshuffle. I asked him to decide himself as it is something that falls under the prime minister’s jurisdiction,” Dahal told reporters in Biratnagar later on the day.
