PM Oli reiterates commitment to hand over premiership to Deuba after 18 months

UML Chairman and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has announced that he will hand over the prime ministership to Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba after 18 months, as agreed upon by the two parties earlier.

KATHMANDU, Dec 5: UML Chairman and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has announced that he will hand over the prime ministership to Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba after 18 months, as agreed upon by the two parties earlier.


Speaking upon his return from a four-day official visit to China on Thursday, Prime Minister Oli said, "In about 18 months, I will hand over the prime ministership to Sher Bahadur Deuba. He will hold elections."

Regarding future plans, Prime Minister Oli mentioned that he will visit India once the situation favors such a visit. When asked about his schedule, he said, "I will go when the situation is right. How can I predict the exact day of my trip?"
