KATHMANDU, July 13: The out-going Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has accused the Supreme Court (SC) of ‘deliberately’ passing a verdict in favor of the opposition parties.

Addressing the nation on Tuesday afternoon, PM Oli satirically said, “It is the duty of players to play the game. The referee is there to maintain fair play, not to help any one team to win.”

PM Oli also maintained that despite being the people’s choice, he is resigning from the post today as the SC has given order to appoint President of Nepali Congress (NC) Sher Bahadur Deuba as the prime minister.

Oli also maintained that the SC has crossed its jurisdiction and decided over political matters.

Earlier on Monday, the SC passed a verdict to reinstate the dissolved parliament, ordering the appointment of Deuba as the PM of Nepal. Deuba has already been appointed the PM of Nepal and is scheduled to take the oath of office and secrecy at 5 PM today.
