KATHMANDU, July 26: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has sent a congratulatory message to the newly-elected Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson.
In his message, Oli extended his best wishes to Prime Minister Johnson for his successful tenure as well as for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of the people of the United Kingdom.

According to a press statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Prime Minister Oli recalled his recent visit to the United Kingdom and the bilateral meeting he had with the outgoing Prime Minister Theresa May on important bilateral matters. He also expressed his willingness to closely work with his British counterpart to further cement Nepal-UK ties.
Separately, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, also sent a message of congratulations to the newly-appointed Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs of the United Kingdom, Dominic Raab.
In his message, Foreign Minister Gyawali expressed his confidence that Nepal-UK friendship will continue to make further strides during the tenure of Raab.
