BARDIYA, August 17: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba today made on-site visits to various flood-hit areas in Bardiya district.
Talking to the flood-displaced people at Golpark in Gulariya Municipality-8, PM Deuba pledged the earliest distribution of relief package to the flood-survivors.
Reiterating that the government was effortful to provide relief packages to the all affected by the disaster, Deuba assured, "Be sure of the government's positive intervention."
Expressing his sorrow over the loss of lives and properties by the floods and landslides in various parts of the country, he reaffirmed government's commitment to provide healthcare services, food, shelter and clothes to those left at lurch in the wake of the disasters.
On the occasion, he was accompanied by Minister for Irrigation Sanjaya Kumar Gautam.
More than 1,000 people have been displaced by floods in the district and they have been residing in the temporary shelters set up in 41 schools. RSS
