KATHMANDU, Sept 3: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has requested party leaders and cadres for healthy participation in the party's general convention that began on Friday.
Releasing a video message on the occasion of the kickstart of the NC wards convention from today, he asked all NC members to hold the election unanimously as per the democratic process. “NC needs to be strong to institutionalize the federal democracy. Nepali citizens have understood that development can be achieved only through strong NC which is why the party needs to be strong,” he added. “I want to appeal to all the party members from all levels to contribute to realizing the slogan ‘Strong Congress, Prosperous Country’.”
“Internal competition within the party is the beauty of democracy. Healthy competition strengthens the foundation of the party's overall organization,” PM Deuba added. “More than 800,000 active NC members are taking part in the election and I can feel their enthusiasm, vigor and support of all those members.”
Stating that the party had to carry out the election at a testing time of COVID-19 pandemic, he urged participants to take part in the election by following health safety protocols.
