PM Deuba extends Bibaha Panchami greetings
KATHMANDU, Dec 8: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has extended best wishes to all brothers and sisters at home and abroad on the occasion of Bibaha Panchami festival, 2078.
In a message of best wishes sent today, the prime minister said that one can explore an exemplary sense of truth, good conduct, discipline, duty, and social justice from the life of Lord Ram and Sita which is also a source of inspiration for us.

The festival of Bibaha Panchami is celebrated to mark the auspicious day of the wedding anniversary of princess Sita of Janakpur and prince Ram of Ayodhya (India). The wedding took place on Marga Sukla Panchami, (November-December) hence, the day is called Bibaha Panchami.
The wedding of Lord Ram and Princess Sita is commemorated and their contributions are acknowledged in the Ramjanaki Temple with a weeklong religious events.
Prime Minister Deuba urged the revelers to celebrate the festival by fully adhering to the health safety protocol in the current context of COVID-19.
Deuba wished that the festival may encourage all of us to promote fraternity, goodwill, and a sense of national unity.
