KATHMANDU, March 20: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has sought a vote of confidence in a meeting of the House of Representatives that is underway at the Parliament Building in New Baneshwar.
Earlier, Dahal took a vote of confidence on January 10 after he was appointed as the Prime Minister with the help of the 7-party alliance on December 25.

But after forming a new 10-party alliance with Nepali Congress, Prime Minister Dahal is seeking a vote of confidence again after the CPN-UML and RPP withdrew their support to his government.
Prime Minister Dahal, who is also the chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center), is supported by the Nepali Congress, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP), CPN (Unified Socialist), Janamat Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party, Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (LSP), Rastriya Janamorcha, Nepal Samajwadi Party, and Aam Janata Party and other parties have prepared to give him vote of confidence.
Likewise, CPN-UML has decided not to give a vote of confidence to Dahal.
