KATHMANDU, March 5: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is currently working on a strategy to make Nepali Congress candidate Ramchandra Paudel win the presidential election in order to keep the ruling coalition of eight parties intact.

He has postponed two major works due to the fear that the results of the presidential election may be upside down. One is the expansion of the cabinet and the other is the vote of confidence. Both these works will be done after the presidential election scheduled for March 9.

Prime Minister Dahal is currently looking after 16 ministries. However, he is preparing to reshuffle the cabinet only after the presidential election.

Even though the Election Commission is willing to approve the expansion of the cabinet before the presidential election, PM Dahal has indicated that the reshuffling of the government will not happen before March 9. He is also trying to get the vote of confidence after the presidential election.
