On one hand where the Covid-19 infected singer Kanika Kapoor is facing the wrath of the netizens, on the other, the latest reports reveal that not one or two but three complaints have been legally lodged against the ‘Baby Doll’ singer for negligence.
According to a Bombay Times report, the first FIR has been lodged by Lucknow’s Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Narendra Kumar Agarwal. He filed a complaint at the Sarojini Nagar Police Station, Lucknow, under Sections 188 (disobedience of an order duly promulgated by a public servant), 269 (negligently acting in a way likely to spread the infection of any disease dangerous to life) and 270 (malignant act likely to spread the infection of any disease dangerous to life) of the Indian Penal Code.

Reportedly, Deputy Commissioner of Police Central, Lucknow, Dinesh Kumar Singh confirmed the news and said that on the basis of the CMO’s complaint, an FIR was lodged against Kanika Kapoor on charges of negligently committing an act likely to spread the infection of any disease dangerous to life a malignant act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life, and disobeying an order duly promulgated by a public servant.

Further, two more FIRs have been lodged against Kapoor for negligence. Reports suggest one has lodged at the Hazratganj Police Station and the other at Gomti Nagar Police Station.

Meanwhile, Kanika has reported that she hasn’t been treated well by the hospital authorities. She said that the authorities are taking proper medical care of her, as a matter of fact, they are not even giving her proper meals. And irrespective of her informing them about her state, no heed is being paid to her condition.
