Players from Pokhara distribute relief in Kavre

POKHARA, May 11: Four national players of Pokhara, Kaski distributed relief goods to the earthquake-hit locals of Panchkhal in Kavrepalanchowk district. They distributed goods worth Rs 400,000 a couple of days ago in Panchkhel. They also gave away Rs 30,000 to the family of Sanjay Aryal, the vice-captain of national volleyball team.

National football player Anil Gurung, and national volleyball players Manju Gurung, Pariksha Gurung and Sipora Gurung distribute the relief goods at Rampur of Panchkhal. National volleyball player Sanjay Aryal's house at Rampur was completely damaged in the April 25 earthquake.

Footballer Anil said that he had collected the amount for relief from friends and relatives from within and outside the country.

"We had collected cash for relief to support players affected by the earthquake. Many people are in urgent need of basic goods," he said. Manju said that she had collected the fund for relief from friends and relatives residing abroad. Earlier, they had also sent the relief goods to Gorkha district. "Since players are also affected by the earthquake it is the duty of one player to support another player," she said.
