KATHMANDU, Jan 5: The Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee (PHSC) has decided to issue a notice for the parliamentary hearings of two chief judges of the High Court for appointment as the Supreme Court justices.

A meeting of the committee held at Singha Durbar on Thursday decided to issue notice through the mass media for the parliamentary hearing of the Chief Judge of the Biratnagar High Court Tej Bahadur KC and the Chief Judge of the Pokhara High Court Purushottam Bhandari for parliamentary hearing.

"The time for making complaints against the justice nominees through the media has been fixed 10 days. Decision would be taken after discussing the complaints that are received within this deadline," said the committee president Kul Bahadur Gurung. The Judicial Council had on January 2 recommended KC and Bhandari's names to the committee. RSS
