KATHMANDU, Sept 15: Street vendors have surrounded the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) office. On Thursday, the vendors who came to the KMC office surrounded the office saying that the small street vendors were removed without being given an alternative.
They said that the metropolis was conducting a campaign to remove the structures built against the law and procedure, and in the process was seizing the belongings of the lower-class workers, assaulting and arresting them workers.
They said that the KMC has made them unemployed without providing them with an alternative.
Lately, KMC has been running a campaign to remove unauthorized structures.
