KATHMANDU, June 25: A group of protesting engineers contracted by Nepal Reconstruction Authority (NRA) was detained for holding protests around a restricted area on Friday.

Employed by NRA for post-quake reconstruction, the engineers were laid off by the government after their tenure expired.
The engineers submitted their resignation en masse and were detained while chanting slogans near Singha durbar.
