KATHMANDU, Oct 1: The pinnacle was installed at the top of the recently reconstructed Bal Gopaleshwar Temple in the midst of Rani Pokhari (Queen’s Pond) in Kathmandu on Thursday.
The temple which collapsed during the massive earthquake of 2015 was recently rebuilt in the original Malla-era Shikar style.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari had earlier laid the foundation stone of Rani Pokhari reconstruction on January 17, 2016, which is now in the final stage of its reconstruction. The government is also planning to get the heritage inaugurated by the president once the construction is over.
