KATHMANDU, May 17: The whole country is under lockdown orders in a bid to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus disease. Although several industries and businesses have come to a complete halt, farmers in Sankhu, a Kathmandu suburb, cannot remain idle as this is an important season for them.
Plantation completed in 50% of paddy fields in 14 districts
The farmers are busy harvesting the wheat crop and sowing paddy seeds in seedbeds. At some places, the planting of paddy samplings is also taking place.
