KATHMANDU, Sept 3: Photojournalists in the print media on Saturday boycotted the sixth general assembly of the National Forum of Photojournalists (NFPJ) claiming that non-photojournalists dominate the organization.

Around 30 professional photojournalists from different publications, including founding NFPJ Chairman Chandra Shekhar Karki and former chairman Bikash Rauniyar, who had been demanding re-interpretation of the statute regarding membership, boycotted the general assembly and said that they would not endorse any decision taken by NFPJ. Photojournalist Bikash Karki accused the present working committee of contaminating NFPJ by giving memberships to 172 persons when only around 80 persons across the country are in the journalism sector.
